How it works

Handing off your finances, without the headache

Switching accountants sounds painful. We have made it the opposite. Here is exactly what happens from the first call to your first clean monthly close, and what we will need from you along the way.

The four steps

Simple on paper, thorough in practice

Fisclor / Client Onboarding / No Surprises
01

Discovery call

We learn your business, review where things stand, and scope exactly what you need.

Day 1
02

Onboarding and cleanup

We take over your books and systems, fix anything behind, and get everything current.

Weeks 1-2
03

Monthly close

Clean books and clear reports land on schedule, so you always know your numbers.

Monthly
04

Advisory and growth

Your advisor turns numbers into decisions: forecasting, tax strategy, and next moves.

Ongoing
Discovery call
Step 01 / Day 1

The discovery call

We start by listening. On a short call we learn how your business runs, what is working, and what keeps you up at night. We review your current books and systems, identify anything urgent, and map out precisely which services you need.

You leave the call with a clear recommendation and a fixed-fee quote. No pressure, no obligation, and no vague estimates.

Onboarding and cleanup
Step 02 / Weeks 1-2

Onboarding and cleanup

Once you are on board, we get to work. We gain secure access to your accounts, take over your software, and bring any behind or messy books fully current. If prior periods need catch-up or amended filings, we handle that first so you start from a clean slate.

We set up your chart of accounts, connect your bank feeds and tools, and agree a monthly close date you can count on.

Monthly close
Step 03 / Every month

The monthly close

Each month we reconcile everything, review for accuracy, and deliver a tidy package: profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow, plus a short note on anything worth your attention. Your books are never more than a few weeks behind reality.

Have a question mid-month? Your named advisor is a message away, at no extra charge.

Advisory and growth
Step 04 / Ongoing

Advisory and growth

Clean books are the beginning, not the end. As your relationship deepens, your advisor turns the numbers into decisions: forecasting, tax strategy, cash planning, and guidance on the moves in front of you. When you need a CFO, one is already on your team.

We review progress with you regularly and adjust the engagement as your business evolves.

Your part is light

What we will need from you

Onboarding is mostly on us. To get started, we typically ask for a few standard items. We will guide you through every one, and everything is handled securely.

  • Access to your accounting software, or a fresh setup if you do not have one.
  • Read access to bank and card statements so we can reconcile accurately.
  • Prior tax returns and financials, if you have them, to give us context.
  • A quick intro to your team or point of contact for questions.

Your first 30 days

A typical first month, from handshake to your first clean close.

1

Days 1-3

Kickoff, access, and a plan.

2

Days 4-14

Cleanup and system setup.

3

Days 15-30

First monthly close delivered.

Common questions

About getting started

Anything else on your mind? A quick call clears it up fast.

Book a call

For most businesses, one to two weeks to get fully set up, with your first clean monthly close inside the first 30 days. If there is a large backlog to clean up, we will give you a clear timeline up front.

No. We work with QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo, and more, and we meet your stack where it is. If your current setup is holding you back, we will tell you honestly and help you move only if it is worth it.

That is one of the most common ways clients start with us. Cleanup and catch-up are part of onboarding. We bring past periods current, reconcile everything, and then keep it clean going forward.

Yes. We use secure, access-controlled connections to your accounts and reputable software, and we only request the access we actually need to do the work.

Absolutely. Many clients begin with the books and add tax, advisory, or a fractional CFO as they grow. Because it is all one team, adding a service is seamless.
